Your agency name is the first piece of creative work clients see. Make it count.
Creative agencies, design studios, and marketing firms sell ideas and execution. If your own brand name is forgettable, generic, or identical to three other agencies in your sector, it undermines the very thing you're asking clients to trust you with. The right company name isn't a detail — it's the proof of concept.
A name nobody else has used. Not "Creative Solutions" or "Brand Agency" — something that stands alone in the market and is actually memorable.
A name you can build a visual identity around. Short names with unusual letter combinations give designers more to work with.
The domain should match — or at minimum be available. An agency pitching on brand strategy with a compromised domain name undermines its own argument.
Descriptive agency names ("The Brand Studio") are nearly impossible to trade mark. Invented or abstract names give you IP protection others can't copy.
Creative professionals know better than most how saturated the market is. Good short names are almost universally taken at Companies House — and the ones that aren't often have problems (trademarked by someone else, available only as a .net domain, similar to a well-known competitor).
Pre-registered names have already cleared the Companies House stage. The incorporation is done. The name is real and legally constituted. You can begin trading — and branding — immediately.
Double-letter company names have long been popular with creative and design businesses. They're symmetrical, carry typographic energy, and work well as logotypes. Think of how a two-letter monogram looks on a business card or agency website — there's a reason so many established agencies use them.
